New Beginnings in Our International Novitiate in Rome
14/09/2026
On 25 August 2026, two important events took place in our international novitiate community in Rome. Sr Agnieszka Świętoń from the Polish Province began her ministry as Novice Mistress, and postulant Katarzyna from Poland was welcomed into the novitiate.
Several sisters from the Generalate were present for the celebration, together with Sr Iwona Skorupa, Provincial Superior of the Polish Province, and Sr Florence-Marie Le Garec, who has served as Novice Mistress until now.
During the Eucharistic celebration, those gathered entrusted Sr Agnieszka's new ministry and Katarzyna's next stage of formation to God. As part of a special rite, the novice habit and a medal bearing the images of St Angela Merici and St Ursula, Martyr, were blessed. These will be worn by the novice throughout her formation journey.
We look forward with hope to welcoming more postulants to the novitiate community in the future. Let us continue to pray for the fidelity of each sister and for new vocations.
We wish Sr Agnieszka wisdom and the simplicity of St Angela as she begins her ministry of accompanying the novices, and we wish Sr Katarzyna peace of heart and courage as she follows Jesus, her Bridegroom.
Our heartfelt thanks to Sr Florence-Marie for her many years of dedicated and joyful service in the formation of novices.
