Novena to St Ursula

In preparation for the feast of St Ursula on 21 October, this novena is offered as a source of inspiration from her life.
Day 1 – Humility
Nothing attracts God's loving gaze more than a humble heart. Humility opens us to God's grace and allows Him to work freely within us.
St Ursula, who through your humility drew the loving gaze of the Heavenly Father, pray for us.

Day 2 – Trust
True trust grows from faith. It is the confidence that God knows us, loves us, and leads us toward eternal happiness, even when we do not understand His ways.
St Ursula, who placed your trust in God for time and eternity, pray for us.

Day 3 – Pure Love
God often chooses the weak to reveal the strength of His love. When we focus on God's power rather than our limitations, we can continue our journey with courage.
St Ursula, who loved with a pure heart and found your strength in God, pray for us.

Day 4 – Living in the Present Moment
God asks us to follow Him today. Love is lived in the present moment, not in worries about the future or regrets about the past.

Day 5 – Gratitude
A grateful heart recognizes God's gifts everywhere. Gratitude fills us with joy and helps us remain faithful to His will.
St Ursula, who saw the loving hand of the Father in all things, pray for us.

Day 6 – Seeing with Faith
God invites us to look beyond what our eyes can see. Trusting in His wisdom gives us hope and confidence, even in uncertainty.

Day 7 – Faith in Darkness
Times of darkness reveal the strength of our faith. We are called to keep our lamps burning and to be a light for those seeking the way.
St Ursula, whose heart burned with love for Christ, pray for us.

Day 8 – Praise
Praise lifts the heart above suffering and disappointment. It helps us experience God's peace and remember how deeply we are loved.

Day 9 – Union with Christ
Like a seed hidden in the earth, our lives grow according to God's plan. He watches over our growth and leads us toward fullness of life.
St Ursula, who lived and died united with Christ, pray for us.

Closing Prayer
St Ursula, faithful disciple of Christ, help us to grow in humility, trust, love, gratitude, faith, praise, and complete union with God. May your example inspire us to follow Jesus with courage and joy every day. Amen.
