Twenty years of the Ursuline kindergarten in Ljubljana

Twenty years ago, the Ursulines Sisters opened the Angela Kindergarten in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in the part of the convent that was returned to them after the fall of communism.

With the help of many external collaborators - Sister Carolina Gomez del Valle from Mexico was a valuable support - they decided on a Montessori kindergarten with the catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This was the first kindergarten of this kind in Slovenia and the sisters also brought the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to the country.

These courageous beginnings found a good response and now there are many Montessori kindergartens in Slovenia and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is involving more and more children.

We wish that many children will enter into the world with courage and confidence!
