Saint Francis of Assisi Award – Thailand

Sister Pensri Horae, Provincial of the Ursulines of the Roman Union in Thailand received on 8 August 2023 at the Thai Parliament in Bangkok the "Saint Francis of Assisi Award".

It was due to the project of the ecological Santiwana Community, which has carried out land development in the Don Mueang area. Approximately 50 rai of land were designated for a learning center for organic farming, alternative energy, and nature conservation, including an environment resembling a forest in the city.

It was in recognition of the ecological project that the Santiwana Community was involved in and was focused on land development in the Don Mueang area. This event was held by the Thai Catholic Association and the Thai Government Agencies. The award was granted by Archbishop Peter Bryan Wells, the Apostolic Nunciature to Thailand.
