Extraordinary Provincial Chapter in Indonesia

The Ursulines of the Indonesian Province held an Extraordinary Provincial Chapter on 1 December 2023 at the Morning Star Ursuline Retreat House in Pacet - Mojokerto.

There were 56 sisters participating in the Chapter. During the opening of the Chapter, the sisters were asked to reflect on and then write down their hopes for the Extraordinary Chapter, both for the province and for the whole congregation. It was in relation to the new constitutions of the Ursulines of the Roman Union that will be established during the Extraordinary General Chapter of 2024. The hopes were expressed as a variety of fruits, symbolising the hope that our new constitutions will give new lifegiving fruits to our congregation and to the Church.

During this Chapter, four delegates were elected for the Extraordinary General Chapter in September 2024, namely: Sr Moekti Gondosasmito, Sr. Mariana Ita Batmomolin, Sr. Anita Yosepha, Sr Edith Watu and Sr Monika Lita Hasanah as “ex officio” and five substitute delegates namely: Sr Vero Andayani, Sr Ira Lengkong, Sr Nurhayati Wiguno, Sr. Veronika Rina and Sr Maria Hersin Jenuk.
