Blessing of Mother of Peace Primary School in Battambang – Cambodia

On November 16th, 2023,  the Inauguration and Blessing of Mother of Peace Primary School and the house of the Ursulines Sisters took place. It is located  in Chrab Veal Village, Battambang Province, Cambodia.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Non Kimny, Deputy Governor of Sangke District Department of Education, Youth and Sports, Fr Bongbong - the person in charge of Chrab Veal Catholic Community, the representatives of the Governor and the leader team of the village.  Sr Susan Flood – the Prioress General of the Ursulines UR and Sr. Neusimar Marques da Silva, the General Counsellor was also able to participate in this event.  The ceremony was attended by the priests, brothers and sisters from all congregations in Battambang Prefecture, the teachers, staff, students and representatives of their parents.

The ceremony was enriched by artistic performances prepared by kindergarten students right through to grade 5.

Some Ursuline Sisters were also able to attend the meeting.  Provincial Prioresses of Asia-Pacific and all the sisters who have worked in Cambodia as  missionaries: Sr. Paulina Gani, Sr. Darna Lingga, Sr. Ira Lengkong, Sr. Jantana Wongsankakorn, Sr. Prapatsorn Srivorakun, Sr. Songsaeng Thinwan and Sr. Hua-Hing Chen participated in this ceremony.  

The gathering was joyful and grace-filled.
