Saint Angela Choir from Indonesia in Generalate

In the chapel of the Ursuline Generalate, angelic voices sounded strongly.

On Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 we welcomed young members of Saint Angela Choir from Ursuline school in Bandung, Indonesia with Mr. Roni Sugiarto - the conductor, Mr. Nicolas Rio – the pianist, Sr. Elisabeth Janul OSU and all the accompanying parents.

Saint Angela Choir has participated in various international competitions and concerts such as in China, Japan, Italy, South Korea and Spain. They are the Grand Prix Winner of the 5th Tokyo International Choir Competition 2023. And also they are the winner of the first prize of the choir championship in Rimini, Italy a few days ago. Our big congratulations!

After Mass in our chapel, celebrated in Indonesian by two Indonesian fathers, the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, we were  invited to listen to some compositions and songs of Saint Angela Choir.

To hear and observe (because there are also elements of choreography) the performance of this choir was quite amazing, especially in our chapel with its good acoustics. We can see how much daily work and practice such perfection of presentation requires. Anyway - see the excerpts for yourself:
