Insieme – with St. Angela
31/01/2025

This year, on the feast of Saint Angela, a special gathering took place at the Generalate in Rome. Sisters from various Ursuline religious congregations, for whom St. Angela is the spiritual Mother, were invited to join us for an evening Mass.
Together, we formed a community of nine religious families, bringing together around seventy sisters to celebrate Madre Saint Angela:
Ursulines of the Roman Union
Ursuline Sisters of the Agonizing Heart of Jesus
Ursuline Sisters of the Immaculate Virgin Mary of Gandino
Ursulines of St Charles
Ursulines of St Girolamo in Somasca
Ursulines of the Sacred Heart of Mary - Vicenza
Ursulines of the Holy Family, Syracuse
Ursuline Sisters Daughters of Mary Immaculate - Verona
The Congregation of Dinasevanasabha (Servants of the Poor)
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Monsignor Daniele Salera, Auxiliary Bishop of Rome North, who has now been appointed as the Bishop of the Diocese of Ivrea. This occasion provided an opportunity to express our gratitude and bid him farewell before his departure.
We were also honored by the presence of several Fathers from the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, adding to the solemnity of the event.
Following the Eucharist, we gathered for a convivial moment, sharing food, engaging in conversation, and enjoying the warmth of being surrounded by so many Ursulines in Rome. It was a truly enriching experience, strengthening our bonds of faith and community.
The following day some of the sisters also went to a concert on St Angela, organised by the Sisters of Charles Borromeo.
