A meeting of gratitude

The Ursuline meeting was held in Kolomyia, Ukraine, from 2 to 6 January 2025.

The event brought together all the sisters from the three houses in Ukraine and two sisters from Poland, among whom was Sr Iwona, Provincial Prioress. Sr Irena, an Ursuline of the Agonizing Heart of Jesus who lives and works in Ukraine, also joined the meeting.

The meeting began with a Holy Mass, where the sisters prayed for peace and unity. This was followed by an official welcome to the participants and the conference speaker, Ms Orysi Uski, a doctor of theology from Lviv. The theme of the conference was ‘Theology of the body on the basis of the teaching of John Paul II’.

During the meeting, Father Vitaly Barabash, a Greek Catholic, shared his pastoral experiences, enriching the content of the conference.

Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing war, the meeting took place in a peaceful and safe atmosphere. It was a time of deep reflection, spiritual growth, and mutual support. The participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet and pray together, share their experiences, and acknowledge the good accomplished through their work and commitment.
