Silver jubilee of Sr Ann-Marie Gardiner and Sr Claudine-Marie Ndione

On Sunday 18 October, Sr Ann-Marie Gardiner and Sr Claudine-Marie Ndione jointly celebrated their silver jubilee at the Generalate. Because of covid-19 restrictions, the number of guests was of course limited, but we were able to have with us Sr Claudine-Marie’s uncle Mgr. Hyacinthe Dione, Sr Angela Poggi and the sisters from Setteville, Fr Ito Dogho who played the keyboard and two of the MSC priests.

It was a day of great joy and festivity. The Mass was celebrated with an international flavour in the singing and languages and with full participation. After the Mass we continued with pre-lunch drinks and a superb meal prepared by our cook, Tina. The festivity continued well into the afternoon.

The Gospel of the Mass was the story of Emmaus and the invitation of the disciples to Jesus to come in and stay with them. In celebrating the 25 years’ commitment of our two sisters, it was as if we too invited Jesus to come in and stay with us.
