Provincial Treasurers Meeting in Rome

From March 24-28, 2025, a meeting of treasurers from all Provinces was held at the Generalate in Rome. The event was attended by sisters and lay co-workers responsible for finances.

This meeting provided an excellent opportunity for participants to enrich and deepen their knowledge through lectures from esteemed speakers: Mr. Jean-Baptiste Douville de Franssu – speaking on ‘Mensuram Bonam’ and Faith based investments, Ms. María Dolores Sánchez Galera – the Economy of Francesco, Sr. Marie Alice Terrazze – the Role of the Treasurer; Mr. Martin Van Kempen – Budgeting and Long-term Planning; Mr. Donnchadh Omordha and Ms. Katie McGale on Investments and Building Sustainability. Additionally, the Treasurer General, Sr. Mery Malisan, and the General Council offered valuable explanations.

Participants reacquainted themselves with the Church's current teachings on economic issues and addressed practical matters essential for daily service in the provinces. The meeting also fostered a joyful atmosphere for sharing experiences.

One of the highlights was a trip to Assisi, where participants deepened their understanding of The Economy of Francesco through an inspiring visit to Serafico di Assisi – L’Amore concreto.

We extend our gratitude to the Treasurer General and the General Council for organizing this enriching meeting, and to Sr. Ruth Durick OSU for her facilitation.
