Saying goodbye to student Sisters from India

In May we said goodbye to the student Sisters from India who had been living with us at the Generalate. It was a moment filled with gratitude and warm memories.

Over many years, we have had a connection with the Congregation of the Mother of Carmel and the Sisters of the Destitute. It is a beautiful story of our friendship.  The sisters came to Rome to study and stayed with us in our international community. We’re truly thankful for their presence, their help in daily life, and the way they joined in our prayers, celebrations, and gatherings. We also had the joy of visits of their General Superiors and other sisters.

The sisters surprised us with a lovely farewell supper, complete with delicious Indian food and a thoughtful gift - a chalice. A few days later, we had a little celebration to thank them, offering small gifts as a token of our appreciation.

We’re so grateful for the time we shared and we really hope this inter-congregational friendship will remain.
