Feast of Saint Angela Merici in Athens

On Monday, 26 January 2026, in the chapel of the Ursuline School in Neo Psychiko (Athens), we celebrated the feast of Saint Angela Merici.

The Mass was concelebrated by Archbishop Theodoros Kontidis of Athens and the Apostolic Nuncio.  Several teachers and staff members from both schools (Maroussi Primary School and Neo Psychiko Secondary School) as well as parents of students came to pray and ask for the intercession of Saint Angela.  Also present were the heads of the Lasallian schools in Alimos (Athens), Brother Marios and Mr Nikolaos-Konstantinos Printézis, legal representative of the Ursuline Monasteries in Greece.

At the end of the Mass, the Maroussi School choir performed four songs: two in Greek and one in French and English.  This was followed by a small reception hosted by the headmaster of Neo Psychiko, Mr. Vassilis Spyrogiannis.
