Prayer of St. Angela

"My Lord, light up the darkness of my heart, and give me the grace to die rather than ever today offend your divine Majesty. Therefore, I am compelled, day and night, moving, staying still, acting, thinking, to call out and to cry to heaven, and to beg for mercy and time for penance. Deign, O most loving Lord, to forgive me so many offences and every fault that I have ever committed from the day of my holy baptism to this hour. I implore this of you by your most sacred Passion and your precious blood shed for love of us."
