Ursuline Education Center and BINUS University Host AI Workshop to Strengthen Digital Transformation in Ursuline Schools

Jakarta, 15 November 2025 — The Ursuline Education Center, in collaboration with Bina Nusantara University (BINUS University), successfully held an Inspirational and Interactive Workshop: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Enhance the Quality of Ursuline Education in the Digital Era from 13 to 15 November 2025 at the Santa Maria Auditorium in Central Jakarta.

The workshop brought together 111 participants from Ursuline Schools across Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and East Nusa Tenggara, including Board of Trustee, Supervisors, Vice Chairs, Campus Coordinators, Treasurers, School Principals, Curriculum Coordinators, and ICT Coordinators.

This three-day program aimed to strengthen the readiness of Ursuline schools to navigate digital transformation through five key objectives:

1. Enhancing the efficiency and adaptability of Ursuline campuses in the digital era.
2. Understanding global and national trends in artificial intelligence relevant to education.
3. Providing inspiration and hands-on experience in the practical use of AI in schools.
4. Developing an ethical AI policy aligned with the vision of the Ursuline Education Foundation for Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
5. Strengthening networking and collaboration among school leaders, curriculum coordinators, and ICT coordinators across all Ursuline campuses.

Participants engaged in a comprehensive series of seminars and hands-on workshops, including sessions on AI literacy for 21st-century schools, digital-era teacher competencies, coding and AI integration in classrooms, demonstrations of AI-based smart school management systems, and training on creating interactive learning materials using artificial intelligence. One of the highlights of the event was the collaborative drafting of an Ethical AI Policy to guide the responsible use of AI technologies across Ursuline educational institutions.

The workshop concluded with the formulation of a follow-up action plan, including the development of a Custom GPT for the Ursuline Education Foundation, evaluation mechanisms, and a collective commitment to implementing AI policies in all Ursuline schools.

The Ursuline Education Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to advancing an educational ecosystem that is excellent, innovative, and deeply rooted in Serviam values. Digital transformation is approached ethically and humanely to ensure that AI becomes a tool that strengthens both teaching quality and school management across all Ursuline campuses.
